Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike

Chapter 635 - 606: Getting Better and Better

Chapter 635 - 606: Getting Better and Better

Simon Forrester came out after his shower. Sienna Thornton had already finished breastfeeding the baby and placed him in the crib to sleep.Seeing her leaning against the headboard with one hand holding a document and the other pressing something on her phone, he thought she was working late. He walked over to her side of the bed and sat down, still drying his hair.

"What are you busy with?"

"Charles Quincy designed a plan for me to reduce the frequency of breastfeeding."

Simon Forrester looked surprised, "Is there really such a thing?"

"Yes." Sienna Thornton leaned towards him, holding the document up for him to see, "Husband, take a look. This plan looks pretty scientific, I think it’s reliable."

Simon Forrester continued drying his hair while looking.

The plan was to gradually extend the interval between breastfeeding sessions to inhibit the production of breast milk. For instance, Sienna Thornton used to breastfeed or pump every two to three hours. Charles Quincy suggested she gradually extend this time from three hours to three and a half hours, then to four hours, eventually reaching six hours, allowing her body to adapt to this frequency. The production of breast milk increases with more frequent feeding and pumping, and decreases otherwise.

Simon Forrester raised his head and continued drying his hair, chuckling, "It’s just ’tolerance training’. It’s nothing advanced."

Sienna Thornton laughed heartily and went back to setting an alarm on her phone.

Simon Forrester finished drying his hair, hung the towel up to dry, then sat down again. As soon as he sat down, he grabbed one of Sienna Thornton’s feet resting on the blanket and gently massaged it.

"Was work tiring today?"

"Better than yesterday," Sienna Thornton replied, feeling comfortable from the foot massage but wincing with pleasure, "Yesterday was just unbearable." She laughed softly after saying that.

"What did you do all day today?" Simon Forrester asked.

"Had a meeting in the morning, then at noon..." Sienna Thornton said, suddenly sitting up and looking at him seriously, "I have something to tell you."

"Hmm?"

"My uncle’s case is resolved. Rhonda put a lot of effort into it, and he’s spent a year and a half dealing with this case."

Simon Forrester listened quietly, without commenting.

Ever since Quentin Thorne expressed willingness to connect Sienna Thornton and Rhonda Wagner, Simon couldn’t truly like Rhonda, even though she helped a lot when Sienna Thornton was suspected of murder and detained by the police. He just couldn’t genuinely like Rhonda Wagner.

Sienna Thornton said, "I asked him for an invoice, and he only charged a symbolic amount of a few thousand, but you know that he spent a year and a half on this case, which was retried in our hometown, so he had to frequently travel to Z City, incurring high travel expenses."

"Tomorrow I’ll let Gavin Gale adjust Cognitas’ consultant fees for the next year." Simon Forrester spoke calmly, "How much do you think is appropriate?"

Sienna Thornton smiled, leaned forward to hug him, and kissed his cheek, "You really understand me. You think just like I do."

After the kiss, she leaned back again, her delicate feet still being massaged in Simon Forrester’s warm palms. After pondering for a while, she said, "Raise the consultant fee by five million, but I’ll privately tell Aurora that three million of this amount is for Rhonda’s expenses."

"Okay." Simon Forrester agreed readily.

Sienna Thornton laughed, "I’ll give this money back..." Before she could finish saying ’you’, Simon Forrester pressed his thumb on her foot sole, making her yelp in pain, swallowing the rest of her words.

Simon Forrester glanced sideways at her, "Let’s stop here with this topic. Don’t haggle over Rhonda’s attorney fees with him."

"Alright." Sienna Thornton yielded, sat up and hugged him again, giving him another kiss, "Thanks, hubby."

He took the opportunity to pull her into his arms...

...

Sienna Thornton originally thought Quentin Thorne would quickly take Melinda Linton home to see her brother, especially since the case had been overturned and state compensation was awarded, which was quite fortunate for Melinda’s family.

However, when she contacted Quentin Thorne on Friday to ask if they were going back home over the weekend, he said they’d tell Melinda once her brother was settled, so she would accept the news more easily.

Sienna had to ask what ’settled’ meant. She had already learned from Rhonda that Melinda’s brother had been back home for over half a year.

Quentin Thorne meant that Melinda’s brother had just received compensation recently, planned to buy a house in the county town, bring their parents to live there, and heard that matchmakers were introducing potential partners to him. Why not wait until all this is settled before letting Melinda reunite with him?

Sienna thought it made sense, so she didn’t ask further.

Life continued to be busy yet fulfilling and beautiful. Sienna Thornton used Charles Quincy’s method, slowly extending the time between feeding sessions. Now, she didn’t need to pump every two hours, managing about four-hour intervals. This way, she could feed the baby before heading to work in the morning, during lunch break, and then again after getting home from work in the evening. At night, she only needed to wake up once.

Well-rested, she felt much better mentally.

...

November 20th was Victor’s hundredth day celebration, and the Forrester family mansion had been preparing for his banquet a few days before.

The celebration was held at The Imperial Court Club, though not as grand as the full moon banquet, with about thirty tables, inviting relatives from the Forrester and Thorne families to come join the festivities.

It was a Monday, and Sienna needed to work, so Simon Forrester took the child to the mansion early in the morning. She had considered that there would be many Forrester relatives there, and Simon might need help entertaining guests. Initially thinking of having Charles Quincy accompany them, she decided against it and sent Auntie King instead to help with the baby.

At four o’clock, she finished her work, hurried back to Fenmore Hill to store expressed milk in the fridge, then changed into an elegant dress before heading to The Imperial Court Club.

Sylvia Langley and Zane Forrester had returned from abroad. They, along with Old Master Forrester, took turns holding the baby, while Simon Forrester greeted guests, and Auntie King sat with Melinda Linton and Quentin Thorne.

Sienna greeted her family first and was about to greet her in-laws and feed the baby when Simon Forrester, who had been mingling with guests, came over.

He greeted her intimately, wrapping his arm around her waist, and kissed her cheek, whispering in her ear, "Say hello to the relatives, and then we’ll start eating. Let’s head back early tonight."

"Hmm?" She didn’t understand why he wanted to head back early.

He smiled, holding her waist tighter, pulling her into a corner.

"Going back early to ’sleep, together’..."

He emphasized the words "sleep together," making her heart skip a beat.

She suddenly remembered their agreement—to get serious when the child reached a hundred days.

Returning to work had made her hectic and busy; she’d forgotten this agreement, and Simon hadn’t brought it up before. It turned out he had always kept it in mind...
