Chapter 537 - 509: Simon Forrester’s Little Piggy

(Monthly bonus Chapter 3)The two of them rested for a while, and then Simon Forrester teased her a bit more.

Sienna Thornton had eaten an airplane meal at noon, and now, after being teased by Simon Forrester, she felt both hungry and craving.

"Ah, I’m so hungry..." She looked at Simon Forrester with a pitiful face.

The room was dimly lit, with the light transforming into a gentle hue as it shone through the canopy of the four-poster bed, casting a tender glow on Sienna Thornton’s equally gentle face.

Simon Forrester stared at her for a moment, then bent down to give her a kiss before getting out of bed: "Change your clothes, we’re going to The Crab Emporium for dinner."

Finally able to eat, she was overjoyed. She quickly put on a bathrobe, jumped out of bed, rummaged through the suitcase to find her jeans and fleece-lined sweater, put them on, and ran outside to put on her shoes.

Simon Forrester put on a matching sweater, picked up the two light down jackets thrown on the sofa, and also went out to put on his shoes.

The two walked out holding hands.

Sienna Thornton carried a backpack, wore sneakers and jeans with a sweater, and had a high ponytail, looking like a college student.

Initially, she held Simon Forrester’s hand, but upon hearing they were going to eat crab, she got so happy that she hooked her arm around Simon Forrester’s and started hopping with joy.

If it were another girl acting like this, Simon Forrester might inwardly scoff at her lack, but seeing his own wife this way, not only did he find it delightful, but also felt a bit proud. He believed it was because of him that Sienna Thornton could enjoy such untroubled happiness, revealing her joy without realizing it.

He felt satisfied and happy in his heart, though being naturally reserved, even though he felt he had reached a state of bliss, what showed on his face was just a faint smile at the corner of his lips.

.

The hotel was very close to the restaurant, just a twenty-minute walk away, so they strolled over.

Mid-February in Nankai was still quite cold, and by evening, the temperature had dropped below 10 degrees Celsius.

Sienna Thornton had one hand in her own jacket pocket while Simon Forrester held her other hand, which was tucked in his jacket pocket to keep warm.

They started chatting, and Sienna Thornton asked, "How many times have you been to Yorai?"

"Quite a few times, I haven’t specifically counted."

Sienna Thornton nodded. It made sense that someone from the Forrester Family, like Simon Forrester, would have been to many places.

She honestly said, "I’ve never been to Yorai, so I’m pretty excited this time."

Simon Forrester tightened his grip on her hand and smiled, "This time we’ll play rough; next time, we’ll come and play smooth. Go to one place at a time and really experience it."

"Sounds good. Next time, let’s bring Thornton and my mom along."

"Sure, I’m up for it anytime."

Recalling the trip to Europe with Simon Forrester, Sienna Thornton felt a surge of emotion, as if the aurora was right before her eyes.

She sighed, "Before knowing you, I had only been to the United States and Alpenberg for study and work. It was only after knowing you that I got the chance to travel abroad just for fun."

Simon Forrester chuckled, "I love to travel everywhere, but I’m just too busy to find the time for the trips I want."

He rarely talked about what he wanted to do, so Sienna Thornton got interested and asked, "Where do you want to go?"

"We had planned a Eurasia road trip with Tobias and the others, but then he went to the Western Army for five years, and it was put on hold. Now everyone has a family, and I’m quite busy with work, so it’s even harder to make it happen."

Upon hearing this, Sienna Thornton realized that such a trip would take at least three months, maybe even six, which indeed made it difficult to undertake.

She hugged Simon Forrester’s arm tighter and grinned, "Alright, let’s go when we retire."

Seeing Simon Forrester smile without commenting, she added, "We’re five years apart, but we can retire the same year, we got this!"

"Alright, I’ll listen to you."

They walked through the biting cold, chatting casually, not discussing anything serious. It was just their joking conversations that made the walk lively all the way.

Simon Forrester, familiar with the route, led her to The Crab Emporium.

Sienna Thornton looked up at the sign with the huge crab, like a king crab, and hooked her arm around Simon Forrester’s as they entered the restaurant. They got a number, and luckily the wait wasn’t long; only five minutes before they were seated.

Compared to other Japanese restaurants they’d been to before, this place was clearly more suited for Chinese guests. The area under the table is recessed, so sitting on the tatami allows legs to dangle naturally without needing to be crossed, making it very comfortable.

Simon Forrester ordered signature dishes like baked crab and crab hot pot for Sienna Thornton, along with some exquisite small dishes; he himself ordered a wagyu beef set.

The food was served gradually, with large and small plates, hot pots, and grilled items filling the table.

Japanese dishes are generally small in portion size, and Sienna Thornton, already starving, surprisingly had a great appetite, trying everything one after another. After eating for a while, she noticed that Simon Forrester was barely eating anything besides his own set.

She took a sip of brown rice tea and asked, "I’ve noticed you don’t eat much, huh?"

Simon Forrester swallowed all the food in his mouth, took a sip of tea, wiped the corner of his mouth with a napkin, and smiled, "Eating too much at night can lead to gaining a belly, making the six-pack turn into one bulk."

"Not necessarily." Sienna Thornton touched her stomach, "I eat a lot at night, but I haven’t gained a belly."

Thinking of her flat, smooth belly, Simon Forrester swallowed hard and took another sip of tea.

Full and merry, Sienna Thornton sat there giggling, "So you’re afraid of gaining weight; that’s why you don’t dare eat much at night?"

This statement seemed correct, but why did it sound so odd?

Made him sound a bit delicate.

Realizing she was teasing him, Simon Forrester chuckled, "There’s really no need to eat too much at night. If the body can’t consume the energy, it becomes a burden and is bad for your health."

Having explained, and seeing her still hung up on it, Simon Forrester swallowed again and lowered his voice, "Besides, if you eat too much at dinner, your blood flows to your stomach, making you lazy and not wanting to move."

"So that’s how it is." She giggled, "No wonder I always feel like lying on the sofa watching TV after dinner, not wanting to do anything else."

Simon Forrester: "..."

Realizing that her thought process could never align with his at the same time, Simon Forrester was both amused and exasperated, ultimately giving up on further explanation. He merely pinched her nose lovingly and said, "My little piggy at home has been fattened up nicely in three years, and now she can be slaughtered at night."
