Chapter 1365: The Death of General Hawan
Chapter 1365: The Death of General Hawan
White Whale looked at the sleeping General Hawan, a trace of cold murderous intent flashed in his eyes."As a renowned general, famous across the world, trembling under the threat of a few assassins and even held hostage. This humiliation and anger must have filled your blood long ago. Now that the great vengeance has been avenged, washing away the shame, you become so arrogant and forget yourself. This provides me the perfect opportunity to kill." White Whale stared at General Hawan with cold indifference in his eyes.
For General Hawan to have such a demeanor, it was quite understandable, without any doubt.
Not to mention the pressure put on the Poison Dragon Mercenary Corps by the Peng Bird gang of assassins, General Hawan was naturally overshadowed by gloom.
Now it’s resolved, the culprit is dealt with, everything is back on track.
"Die, consider it justice for Black Shark. I’ll explain to my big brother." White Whale said mockingly.
Destroy the bridge after crossing it, nothing more.
With this thought, White Whale’s hand swiped like a knife, chopping at General Hawan’s neck, faintly hearing the sound of bones breaking.
General Hawan was killed by White Whale’s single blow while drunk.
A general of world-renowned fame, an existence akin to a formidable hero, just like that, his life ended in Yellow Springs.
General Hawan died cleanly, efficiently, silently.
General Hawan had no defenses, even his adjutant and guards lacked preparations because they regarded White Whale as one of their own, with no preventive measures in place.
Given the relationship between General Hawan and Hawk, naturally, there wouldn’t have been any confrontation.
However, White Whale defied Hawk’s intentions, driven by revenge for Black Shark, single-mindedly determined to slay General Hawan.
This rare opportunity was not going to be missed.
This was the aspect that General Hawan’s people couldn’t guard against; they never expected White Whale to be so ruthless and decisive.
White Whale gave a deep, meaningful glance at General Hawan’s now lifeless body, coldly smiled, and muttered: "Farewell, old five. Second sister avenged you."
After collecting her emotions, she walked out of General Hawan’s bedroom.
Outside, the adjutant stood by the door, greeting her with a smile, concernedly asking: "How’s the general?"
Earlier, when General Hawan was talking drunkenly with White Whale, he thought the general was going to have some intimate moment with White Whale.
Seeing White Whale emerge now, he realized he had thought too much.
"The general is already drunk and has gone to sleep, let’s not disturb him for now." White Whale said casually.
"Yes!" The adjutant glanced inside, only vaguely seeing the general’s sleeping posture, thought nothing of it, and closed the door, facing White Whale said: "Miss White Whale, would you like me to arrange a place for you to stay?"
"No need." White Whale waved her hand and asked: "The general wanted you to focus on the following matters, how did it go?"
"No abnormalities encountered, not even a mouse could survive it, all targets should be dead." The adjutant assured.
"I see, since the targets are dead, it’s inconvenient for me to stay. Arrange a trip for me outside to organize my people and prepare to retreat. I’ll bid farewell to General Hawan early tomorrow morning." White Whale said thoughtfully.
"Alright, no problem." The adjutant hesitated slightly but agreed.
With the adjutant seeing them off, White Whale and Amir, along with others, departed.
As the car left the camp, after ensuring safety, White Whale’s tightened nerves relaxed.
Finally completely relieved, while in the camp, feared the matter might be exposed, if that had happened, they couldn’t have left.
Amir and others seemed less drunk, returning to normal, clearly having pretended to be more drunk.
This time, seizing on General Hawan’s delight, White Whale knew he wanted to relieve pressure, so she persuaded General Hawan to drink a few more cups, got him drunk then carried out the assassination beautifully.
Though hastily decided, fully utilizing the situation, she succeeded in carrying out General Hawan’s killing.
"The enemy of the leader of the fifth group, killed?" Amir asked intently.
"Killed." White Whale uttered two words.
"General Hawan held us in esteem because of trust in the head commander. We utilized General Hawan’s trust in the head commander, killed General Hawan, if this escalates, not only will General Hawan’s people seek revenge, the head commander will punish us, turning a friend into a foe is very unwise." Amir said calmly.
"Regardless of other matters, for avenging the leader of the fifth group, it was all worth it." White Whale resolutely declared.
"The head commander can endure dissatisfaction with General Hawan because the death of the leader of the fifth group was already a fact, thus naturally wouldn’t conduct self-harmful actions. Killing General Hawan for revenge was the worst move, with General Hawan dead, the head commander not only lost a loyal ally but also turned this ally into an enemy." Amir objectively analyzed.
"No need for further discussion, I know the stakes." White Whale said decidedly.
Amir said no more.
They drove toward Spine Team’s hideout.
...
"Explosion? A violent explosion occurred? Where’s the noise coming from?" Peng Bird asked in surprise.
He already had Mountain Ghost monitoring everything happening outside, combined with the influence of Leader Zuo, anywhere people were active, every stir wouldn’t escape their eyes.
Moreover, such shocking commotion, Peng Bird naturally took note, couldn’t help but be concerned.
Mountain Ghost summarized the latest information and reported to Peng Bird.
Peng Bird immediately became unsettled.
"The explosion location is within this area." Mountain Ghost said gravely: "And the seven impersonating us, along with the Spine Team, are in this deserted area."
"Looks like General Hawan’s artillery unit attacked, heading to kill the seven impostors of us?" Peng Bird demanded.
"Likely, General Hawan bringing overwhelming killing intent, if the impostors of us exposed themselves leading to this slaughter, then the seven are likely doomed." Mountain Ghost stated seriously.
"This event’s grand commotion, they surely are bound for a certain death, no doubt about it." Peng Bird lamented.
"Indeed, what a pity for those men, dying like this is truly regrettable. Originally intended to have them battle General Hawan and the Poison Dragon Mercenary Corps, we’d enjoy the spectacle. Now it seems we overestimated the seven’s capability." Mountain Ghost mourned.
"With matters at this point, what can we do?" Peng Bird forced a bitter smile, dismissed the seven impostors from mind.
Just as he stopped thinking about the seven, a message arrived, making him widen his eyes.
