Chapter 21 When Terrans Learned to Use the Shift Key and Stick Their Butts Out
Chapter 21 When Terrans Learned to Use the Shift Key and Stick Their Butts Out
As soon as Ash entered the Adventurers' Guild, adventurers came over to greet him. However, they saw Ash hurriedly filling out a request form with a yellow wooden question mark on his head.
"What's wrong, bro?"
Yash 1: "My wife should have been back yesterday. I was wondering if she got the time wrong, but it's almost noon today and she still hasn't come back. She's always been punctual before, and even if she's late, it's never this long."
Everyone started speculating, one after another, whether he had been arrested, and the more they talked, the more nervous Yash 1 became.
"Just ask, brother. You've helped us a lot before. What do you want us to do?"
Ash 1 pulled out a map his wife had given him and handed it to the adventurers beside him: "I'd like to entrust you with the task of going here and seeing what's going on. The reward is not a problem; I still have some savings."
The adventurers patted Ash on the shoulder to reassure him, and then the group immediately grabbed their weapons and prepared to set off.
Just as the group was about to leave through the door, the parrot shrieked, "Welcome!"
A woman walked into the union.
It's Nora 1.
Instead of wearing her usual combat chainmail, she changed into a pale yellow cotton and linen dress.
Several adventurers quickly turned Ash1's body to face Nora1.
"I saw you weren't at home or at the city gate, so I came here to look for you." Nora waved to Ash.
With tears welling up in his eyes, Ash 1 did a backflip and landed in front of Nora 1, burying his head in his wife's chest.
"Sister-in-law, you're back late from this adventure. We and Brother Ash thought you'd run into some kind of accident."
"There was indeed an accident, but..."
Nora recounted her experiences over the past few days.

In the forest before the ruins, only Terra and Guide remained.
Terra didn't kill the guide because he discovered that in the new version, all NPCs had an initial spawn point after they died.
Apart from the Guide, all other NPCs initially spawn in towns, and they respawn there after being killed. Only the Guide spawns in a very, very far place, even farther than Terra's own base. Terra spent a long time scrolling on the large map before finding it.
Even though it's just the two of them now, the guide who stayed behind is still faster on foot, and Terra still feels it's too slow.
Wearing Hermes Boots is like this: running freely on flat ground without any obstacles is exhilarating, but getting stuck in the terrain or having to wait for an NPC can be quite frustrating.
Terra figured that since the new version of NPCs would have collision volumes anyway, he simply went around behind the guide and tried to run forward while bumping against the guide's collision box.
"Huh? Ahhh—"
Andrea felt her buttocks being pushed from behind, and she was being pushed forward uncontrollably. What was Terra going to do now?!
She gripped Terra tightly with both hands, her feet frantically trying to match her forward speed, but her brain ultimately couldn't control her center of gravity.
Hey~
Andrea 2, with her rear end sticking out, plowed forward a distance on the ground, landing face-first in the mud.
Terra: "Looks like it won't work. The new version of the guide is too flexible and the physics are too good. If it were an old version of an NPC that only had two actions, standing and sitting, you could really push it forward."
Terra was a bit confused about this. In the old version, NPCs stayed at home, but in the new version, they all went on adventures with her. Was there no way to speed up the NPCs' walking speed?
Andrea 2 stood up, rubbed her slightly sore chest, and then subconsciously tried to pat the grass and dirt off her face. However, her face was clean and there was nothing on it, except that her forehead was a little red.
Looking at Terra behind her, the elf thought for a moment and decided to speak: "Terra, you really shouldn't call me Guide anymore. I said before that Guide is a title only high elves who lead heroes to save the world deserve. I am a low elf, and in that ruin just now, I also confirmed that Terra, you were indeed summoned by a high elf."
"It's not good for me to keep you like this. Maybe that high elf is on her way. When she arrives, you should call her your guide."
Andrea 2 put her hands behind her back and squeezed the iron bow that Terra had given her.
"By the way, don't call that high elf 'Mom,' she might not be happy. But I don't think she can beat you anyway, after all, you are a high being."
Why is the tour guide suddenly being so respectful? This isn't funny anymore.
When Terra opened Andrea 2's dialog box, she saw that the green smiley face on the right side, which displayed happiness level, had turned into a cold blue face.
An exclamation mark appeared above Terra's head: "Could this be a special dialogue triggered by meeting certain conditions in the new version's guide's side quest? Judging from what the guide said, will there be a storyline like 'real guide and fake guide' later on? How interesting."
"You're talking nonsense again~ Seeing you so happy, I feel like I'm such an idiot for thinking so much, ouch~ that hurts!" Andrea 2 slapped Terra.
"I wanted to ask you, Mother Guide, what the difference is between low elves and high elves, but I didn't see that in your chat box." Terra circled around Andrea 2.
"To be honest, social issues like bloodlines and citizenship are too complicated. Basically, the distinction is based on strength. People like me with low magic power are considered low-level, while those with high magic power are considered high-level. Magic power is like physical development; it stops increasing once it reaches a certain level."
Andrea 2 patted her chest: "The bloodline within the elves is also very important. The creation myth of the elves says that all elves come from a common ancestor. This ancestor is said to control the souls of light and darkness in the world and has great magical power. However, after she gave birth to offspring, the offspring began to consume their mother's magic power. After that, there were more and more elves, and the magic power became more and more diluted, until now."
"I don't know if this legend is true, but elves are indeed divided into ranks."
"As expected of the guide, he knows so much." Terra opened Andrea 2's chat window and scratched her head.
Andrea 2 scratched her cheek and chuckled.
Terra saw that the right side of Andrea 2's dialog box had turned into a green smiley face.
After exiting the dialog box, Terra still wanted to know how to increase the movement speed of the NPCs. He clicked on the guide repeatedly and finally discovered that when he bent over and clicked on the guide, he could actually put the guide on his head.
This new feature is great!
"Huh? Wait a minute!" Andrea 2, who was just standing on grass, suddenly found herself sitting on Terra's head, her legs dangling in front of Terra. She tried to jump down, but found her bottom completely stuck to Terra's head. She had no choice but to fold her knees, spreading her legs apart to clamp Terra's head, and use her hands to cover the gap between her legs.
She was afraid that Terra would say her feet smelled bad again.
Terra was currently basking in the joy of discovering he had a new move, his blocky buttocks twitching and sticking up repeatedly. Andrea 2, sitting on his head, also moved up and down in sync.
Finally, Terra had her fill of fun. After eating a stewed rabbit, she charged straight towards town with her guide on.
Feeling the wind brush past her ears, Andrea 2 laughed out loud: "Terra, this is so much fun!"
*
After noon, Terra finally reached the city gate, protected by Andrea 2.
As soon as they approached the city gate, the guards on the right side of the gate ran over, their armor clanking loudly. They then knelt down, their kneecaps scraping the ground as they slid over.
He then stopped in front of Terra and knelt on one knee.
"Welcome back, Master Magician!"
Terra looked up in confusion: "Who is this guy?"
Riding on Terra's head, Andrea 2 waved away the question mark bubbles obscuring her view and looked down at Terra, saying, "I guess they're family members of that female adventurer named Nora. Didn't she say her husband is a soldier in Mi City?"
"Everyone in the Adventurers' Guild has been waiting for you for a long time."
Andrea 2 patted Terra's head: "You're a great hero."
"Miss Andrea, the Mage, please come into the city quickly."
"Yeah, Terra, let's go! Wait, put me down first!"
After entering the city gates, on the way to the Adventurers' Guild, Terra and Andrea 2 attracted a lot of attention.
Andrea 2 covered her face with her hands, trying to conceal her identity.
however.
"Look, it's that elf auntie! Riding that blocky guy is hilarious!"
"I want to ride too!"
Several children who had met Terra before followed her, including the cute little girl.
Andrea 2 tilted her head back, a tear streaming down her cheek: "Guh, kill me~"
When Terra saw the children gathering around, she stopped, stuck out her bottom, and clicked on the little girl and the other children.
Then the townspeople saw a little girl riding on the elf's shoulders, and another little child riding on the little girl's shoulders, and so on, layer upon layer.
Andrea 2 and the children didn't feel the weight on their shoulders at all and sat very steadily.
Terra, a resident of the surrounding town, didn't miss out either, pointing at each of them and placing them all on her head.
Terra walked on, and more and more townspeople appeared above her. Screams echoed continuously from above.
Next to the food street, the restaurant owner, whose main business is stewed rabbit and stewed vegetables, had just finished his lunch work and was sitting at the entrance of the shop to take a break when he saw an enormous human pillar rushing towards him in the distance. When it got closer, he found that the bottom of the pillar was the cube-shaped person who was throwing coins.
He just stared blankly as the other person approached him, sticking out their buttocks.
Then, the boss's vision changed; the surrounding streets turned into a blue sky, and the air in mid-air felt cool against his sweaty body. He hugged his chest, rubbed his shoulders, and sneezed several times, his snot landing on the helmet of the person beneath him.
"Hey, my helmet is very valuable! Human!"
When the boss heard him speak, he lowered his head and met the face of a man with a large beard.
They are dwarfs.
It seems to be the dwarf blacksmith from that weapon shop in the west!
"What are you doing here?"
"I want to ask too! What on earth happened? I only ate a few bites of food!"
The boss heard another voice above him. He looked up and saw only half a face.
The dwarf under the boss looked up: "You are... Mana 1? You were kidnapped too?"
Boss: "How did you figure that out?" The dwarf glanced at him, and the boss thought to himself, well, his features are indeed too distinctive.
Above Mana's head, the lizardman is holding a bowl and eating noodles.
"Hey! Green-skinned! Give me some food!" Mana reached out to touch the bowl in Ragon's hand.
"Hey, stop grabbing at me! I don't even have enough to eat! We ordered together, so it's your problem if you didn't take any." Ragon flicked Mana's back with his tail.
Above the lizardmen's heads, a nun dressed in a pure white priest's robe raised her hands, opened her arms, and her eyes sparkled with hearts: "Oh~~ Oh! I can feel myself getting closer and closer to God! God! I want to marry you, hehehehe~"
"Hey! Jin Gong, you're drooling! Drooling! Ugh~ My noodles! Never mind, Mana, you can have them!"
"Get the hell out of here! You want me to eat that slut's saliva that licks idol feet all day?"
At the very bottom of the towering pillar, Terra finally arrived at the Adventurers' Guild and stopped at the entrance of the hall.
Two more people and a bird appeared on the nun's head.
"Hello, I was just about to go and thank you," Nora greeted Ragon and Mana across the mentally challenged nun, Jin Palace.
"Is this the new adventurer you were talking about? Terra? Not bad, an interesting man. You've piqued my interest." Nora looked up and saw a dark-skinned, one-eared female elf sitting cross-legged on her head, playing with a chattering parrot.
"President, you've been arrested too!"

Deep within the Moon Gazing Forest, a female knight clad in pink armor led three hunters, priests, and mages, all dressed in pink, as they traversed the woods.
This team, called Pink Silver, consists entirely of girls who have been adventurers for three or four years.
Originally, they were simply entrusted by the Adventurers' Guild to patrol the forest.
Normally, these missions are quite simple and rarely involve any outrageous battles or anomalies. However, this time, the Silver Squad found themselves unknowingly entering a very strange forest.
The surrounding bushes and trees were like plastic steel, impossible to cut, making it extremely difficult for them to move through the forest.
Here, the sun moves quite quickly overhead; in just a few minutes, it goes from noon to dusk.
This woodland was indistinguishable from ordinary forests, with the surrounding scenery being exactly the same. It wasn't until they looked up at the sun in the sky that they realized they had wandered into a strange place.
The sun, at a speed visible to the naked eye, slowly slid from the center of the sky toward the west.
In just a few minutes, the surroundings were enveloped in the golden twilight.
They dared not linger and immediately retraced their steps, but the surrounding scenery made it impossible for them to discern directions. The horizon seemed like a mirage, projecting shadows of trees and mountain springs, but they walked for a very long time without getting any closer.
Instead, the light around me grew dimmer and dimmer.
Then the team saw several human-sized slimes jump out of the bushes. These slimes even had human-like little girls on their heads, and they were smiling at them.
Some of the slimes had something wrapped inside their bellies.
"This information must be delivered to the Adventurers' Guild."
With that thought in mind, the female knight drew her longsword and charged toward the slime.
