Chapter 298 Amusement Park
Chapter 298 Amusement Park
The amusement park is located in the eastern suburbs of Nanjiang. The two of them took a bus there.
After getting off the bus, I could see the Ferris wheel in the distance, blue and white, turning slowly.
Colorful balloons floated at the park entrance, and tinkling music played from the loudspeakers.
Children were led inside by the hand of adults, and people dressed as mascots were taking photos with tourists at the entrance.
Lin Yue stood at the door, looking up at the Ferris wheel with her mouth slightly open.
Song Huan came back after buying the ticket and handed her one.
She took it, looked down at it, and then looked up again.
"Song Huan".
"Um?"
"This is my first time visiting an amusement park."
After she finished speaking, she smiled and then pulled him inside.
Lin Yue wanted to play with everything she saw.
She picked a white carousel, mounted it, hugged the bar around its neck, turned around and smiled at him.
The music started, the carousel began to turn slowly, and she sat on it, her skirt fluttering in the wind.
When they reached the second lap, she waved at him and shouted something, but it was drowned out by the music and he couldn't hear her.
Pirate ship.
She insisted on sitting in the last row, saying that way she could swing the highest.
When the boat rocked to its highest point, she gripped the railing, her eyes tightly closed, her mouth open, it was hard to tell whether she was laughing or screaming.
When I got off, my legs were so weak that I held onto his arm and said, "Let's do it one more time."
Song Huan said no.
She pouted as he dragged her away.
The line for the roller coaster lasted for more than ten minutes.
Lin Yue stood in front of him, tiptoeing to look ahead.
The roller coaster roared overhead, and the people on board screamed in terror.
She turned around, her eyes shining, "How exciting!"
Song Huan looked at the winding railway track.
The track rises from the platform, climbs to its highest point, and then plunges almost vertically downwards.
His Adam's apple bobbed. "Please sit down. I'll wait for you downstairs."
Lin Yue tilted her head to look at him. "Are you afraid of heights?"
"no."
"Then why don't you sit down?"
Song Huan didn't say anything.
Lin Yue looked at him for two seconds, then smiled.
She didn't ask any more questions, nor did she say anything like "coward."
She simply reached out and tugged at his sleeve.
"Sitting together... I'm a little scared, but if there are two of us together, I won't be afraid."
Song Huan looked at her.
Her hand gripped his sleeve, her eyes bright, filled with a mixture of anticipation and tentative exploration.
It's time to get to the front of the line.
He went up to her and sat down next to her.
Lin Yue thoughtfully pressed down the safety bar and strapped it to his shoulder.
The roller coaster slowly climbed upwards, the tracks creaking and groaning beneath its wheels.
The entire amusement park shrank beneath my feet.
Carousels, pirate ships, and Ferris wheels have all become toys.
Lin Yue stood beside him, gripping the safety bar with both hands, her mouth slightly open.
The car climbed to the highest point and stopped for a moment.
Then it rushed down.
The wind whistled in through my ears.
Song Huan gripped the safety bar, her face pale.
Lin Yue next to her was screaming, but it wasn't a scream of fear, it was a scream of excitement.
She held her hands up like a bird with outstretched wings, her hair flying in the wind as a line.
He closed his eyes briefly, then opened them.
The amusement park spun around in front of me.
The sky is very blue, and the clouds are very white.
The girl next to me was laughing, her laughter shattered by the wind and scattered in the sunlight.
He suddenly felt that he wasn't so scared anymore.
After getting off the roller coaster, Lin Yue's face was flushed, her hair was a mess, but her eyes were frighteningly bright.
"One more time!"
Song Huan shook her head, pouting, and was pulled away by him again.
The bumper car area is on the other side of the amusement park.
Under the corrugated iron roof, more than a dozen cars were wrecked together, and sparks crackled and popped in the wire mesh on the roof.
Lin Yue stood outside the fence, her eyes shining as she watched the cars crashing around inside.
"I want to play that!"
Song Huan bought the ticket.
The two went inside, and Lin Yue quickly sat in the passenger seat, handing the steering wheel to him.
"You drive."
Song Huan got in and gripped the steering wheel tightly.
The car started and slowly glided forward.
Lin Yue directed from the side, "Left! Left! Hit that red one!"
Before he could finish speaking, a blue car crashed into him from the side with a loud bang.
Lin Yue fell towards Song Huan, her shoulder bumping into his arm.
She instinctively reached out and hugged his arm, wrapping her arms around him and pressing her face against his shoulder.
The blue car reversed.
Song Huan turned to look at her.
Her face was buried in his shoulder, and stray hairs brushed against his chin.
His breath hit his T-shirt, warm.
She didn't let go.
"Sit still," he said.
She then relaxed, sat up straight, tucked her stray hairs behind her ears, and blushed, whether from the bump or something else, it was hard to tell.
"Drive more steadily."
Song Huan stepped on the gas, and the car sped forward, crashing into a yellow car.
Lin Yue's face was still red when she came out of the bumper car area.
Song Huan followed behind, and stopped in front of the ice cream truck.
The ice cream truck was a modified bread truck, pink and white, with a row of colorful balloons hanging from the roof.
A few people were lined up at the window, all children, holding hands with adults, standing on tiptoe to look inside.
Lin Yue stood in line, tilting her head to look at the menu above the window.
Strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, and mango flavors.
It's her turn now.
She leaned against the window and read the menu from beginning to end, and then from end to beginning.
"Aren't there any other flavors?"
The staff member was a young woman wearing disposable gloves. "These are the flavors we have in the morning. We only have the secret flavor, matcha, in the evening."
Lin Yue pouted slightly and then said, "Then I'll have two original flavors."
She took the two ice cream cones and handed one to Song Huan.
The two walked side by side, each holding an ice cream cone.
The Ferris wheel is located at the very back of the amusement park.
Blue and white, slowly turning.
There weren't many people in line; there were only a few couples ahead of us.
Lin Yue stood next to him, looking up at the large wheel.
When the elevator car reached its highest point, it felt like you could touch the clouds.
When it was their turn, the ticket seller glanced at Lin Yue, then at Song Huan, probably wondering where this young man had gotten such a beautiful girl.
Lin Yue went in first and sat by the window.
Song Huan sat opposite her.
The door closed, the elevator car swayed slightly, and then slowly rose.
The ground gets farther and farther away, and people get smaller and smaller.
The carousel transforms into a small, colorful disc, while the pirate ship resembles a swaying cradle.
The sky is very close, the clouds are very close.
Lin Yue pressed her face against the window, her nose close to the glass, looking down.
"Wow, it's so high."
She turned around, sat cross-legged, and spread her skirt across the seat.
When the car reached its highest point, it paused briefly.
Lin Yue suddenly spoke up.
"Song Huan".
"Um?"
"Thank you."
Song Huan looked at her.
"Thank you for bringing me here."
She smiled, her eyes crinkling, "This is my first time visiting an amusement park."
Sunlight streamed in through the window and fell on her face.
Her eyes were bright, and there was light in them.
Song Huan looked at her. Her Adam's apple bobbed.
I want to say something, but I don't know what to say.
Thank you. You brought me to my first amusement park.
He didn't say it.
I just said it silently in my heart.
