Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike

Chapter 641 - 612: Simon Forrester on Guard

Chapter 641 - 612: Simon Forrester on Guard

"What did Thornton do?""His son gets impatient when he wakes up at night wanting milk. While I was warming up the breast milk, he started crying loudly, which might have disturbed Thornton. He’s been nagging me non-stop these past few days."

"What did he say?"

Simon Forrester immediately mimicked Quentin Thorne’s sarcastic tone: "Is there a throne to inherit at home? No one to help, and you still dare to plan for a third child? With Annie gone, who is going to help you with the kids? If you ask me, having even one child in such a family is a luxury!"

When he got to the last sentence, he suddenly widened his eyes, and his tone rose an octave.

Sienna Thornton laughed heartily at his imitation: "You really channeled Thornton! Look at you, you almost killed me with laughter!"

Simon Forrester, driving, glanced at her wordlessly: "So, do you think Thornton is overbearing? Meddling in everything from heaven and earth to having kids?"

"He’s just worried I’ll miss out on my career because of having children! One day, when you have a daughter, you’ll understand his intentions."

Simon Forrester immediately fell silent.

Before his son was born, he always thought he’d one day become a father-in-law, and back then, he secretly planned many things for his future daughter, including that she shouldn’t have too many kids.

Sienna noticed his silence and guessed his thoughts, giving him a sidelong glance and sneering, "Oh, men. When it’s their own daughters, they don’t want them to have many kids, but when it’s someone else’s daughter, they’re all for turning her into a breeding machine, providing womb and effort for family continuation, huh?"

Simon Forrester awkwardly chuckled, too embarrassed to argue.

Fearing that if they continued talking, Sienna would get even more upset, he quickly changed the subject: "Speaking of which, why do you suddenly want to change the babysitter?"

Sienna didn’t hide it: "I heard that during the days I was away, you two met quite frequently?"

Simon Forrester was puzzled: "Me and who?"

"You and Charles Quincy."

Simon Forrester looked utterly confused: "I can’t even remember what she looks like; how did I meet her frequently?"

Sienna didn’t bother to explain much, just gave a sinister grin: "If you remembered her face, then you’d be in trouble."

Simon Forrester: "..."

The two of them got home before seven. The baby was sleeping soundly in the crib in the room. Outside, Quentin Thorne had gotten up early to watch the news, Auntie King was preparing breakfast, and Melinda Linton was in the bedroom with the baby.

Seeing his daughter, who had been overseas, return, Quentin Thorne was delighted, directing this person to carry Sienna’s luggage and that person to pour her milk, while he sat down with her to discuss the details of the negotiations this time.

Having been apart from his wife for a week, Simon Forrester was looking forward to taking advantage of the time their son was asleep to coax his wife into taking a shower and having some intimate time. But now, with Sienna being pulled away by Quentin for a chat, he unhappily returned to the room.

As he had gotten up at four in the morning to wash up and head to the airport and had woken up multiple times last night to feed the baby, he lay on the bed waiting for Sienna, and soon, he fell asleep himself.

During that time, he seemed to hear the baby crying, and Sienna talking, but later, everything quieted down, and he sank back into a deep sleep.

When he woke up, there was a person nestled in his arms.

Sienna was sleeping peacefully in his embrace.

Turning his head to glance at the crib, he saw the baby wasn’t there, probably carried out by Auntie King.

He relaxed and enjoyed this rare moment of leisure.

Sienna was sleeping, breathing evenly. Her long bangs fell over her face, and he gently pushed them behind her ears, cupped her face, and kissed her forehead, eyes, and nose tip. Then, he hugged her tightly.

"It’s only been a few days, but I miss you so much. Hmm?" he murmured while holding her, "I really want to tie you to my belt and take you everywhere."

Whether Sienna heard him or not, she turned over in his arms and let out a soft moan before continuing to sleep. It wasn’t much longer before someone, abstinent for a week, woke her up...

...

The night Sienna returned to the country, the family of three went back to The Fenmore Villa.

She had initially planned to stay a few days at her parents’, but Simon Forrester clearly couldn’t stand Quentin Thorne anymore, so to avoid conflicts similar to "in-law disputes" between father-in-law and son-in-law, she quickly packed their belongings and moved her family back to their home.

Tomorrow was Monday, and until Gavin Gale found a suitable babysitter, Charles Quincy would continue helping out with the baby.

Once they decided to replace Charles Quincy, Sienna wasn’t in a rush anymore and even told Gavin to be thorough with the search, hoping to find someone they could rely on for a long time this time.

Despite her instructions, Gavin quickly found two male babysitters. They both had the advantages Charles had: graduated from prestigious foreign universities with degrees in early childhood education, excellent English-speaking skills, intellectual family backgrounds, and youth with good fitness levels.

Sienna was satisfied with both of them, and on the day of the interview, she had the child play with them while she and Simon Forrester observed, finally choosing the male babysitter the child liked best.

The day before Charles Quincy was dismissed, Sienna invited her out for tea and, besides expressing her apologies, also gave her the remaining month and a half’s salary for the trial period.

Charles seemed guilty, knowing she had developed inappropriate feelings towards the male employer, so when Sienna tactfully mentioned not passing the trial period, she didn’t dare ask the specific reason.

The day after Charles Quincy left, the new babysitter started working.

Sienna didn’t go to work that day to ensure a smooth handover with the new babysitter.

Before Simon Forrester left for work, he specifically reminded her: "Don’t discuss breastfeeding directly with the babysitter."

"Then who should I talk to?"

"Breastfeeding issues should go through me first, and then I’ll pass it on to him. Just don’t mention the word ’breastfeeding’ to that kid!"

Sienna pushed him into the car: "I’ve already had a child; what are you worried about?"

Sitting in the car, Simon Forrester heard this, rolled down the window, and popped his head out: "Haven’t you seen wealthy women in their fifties or sixties hanging out with men in their twenties on the street?"

Sienna couldn’t help but laugh, "I don’t like men in their twenties." With that, she leaned over, cupped his face, gave him a quick kiss, and then pushed his head back into the car.

Though his head was back inside, Simon Forrester didn’t forget to sternly instruct: "Be good!"

Sienna obliged, "Alright, alright, go to work, or you’ll be late."

The black Mercedes drove away from the villa, and Sienna entered the house with a sweet smile on her face.

In the living room, the babysitter was playing with the child while chatting with Auntie King and Melinda Linton.

The young man, about twenty-seven or twenty-eight, was handsome with fair skin and red lips. Because of his degree in early childhood education, he spoke softly, addressing Auntie King and Melinda as "sister," making them beam with joy.

Sienna sat on the side watching for a while, and suddenly a voice in her mind said: Make sure Quentin Thorne doesn’t find out that she’s hired a male babysitter here, or he might not let Melinda come over to help with the baby.
